Research Summary

My PhD will study the politics of race in North Staffordshire from roughly 1960 to 2020, with particular attention to ethnic minority experience and antiracist activism in North Staffordshire. As part of my research, I hope to work with current and former local activist groups through conducting new oral histories on their experiences. I will also be working with Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Archive Service to create and catalogue a new permanent archive of antiracist activism in North Staffordshire, as well as creating a public history exhibition on the project.
