Research Summary

My Ph.D. project is focused on understanding Islamic higher education (Alimiyyah) for female students in Britain. The study uses direct observations, in-depth interviews, and documentary data to explore how this education fosters students’ spirituality, academic growth, communal interactions, and identities. The study also examines teachers’ experience in planning and delivering Islamic higher education, including their curriculum design, pedagogical approaches, and educational objectives.
